Looking forward to 2019

Looking back at 2018, we are grateful to all our wonderful donors for your support during the year. Each one in his/her own small way, has made a difference in the life of a child. We are looking forward to new opportunities in 2019, broadening our scope to include additional places of safety and foster homes caring for abandoned and orphaned children within the Gauteng area. HfC would love to impact the lives of more children, but to do this, HfC needs the continued support of our donors. Your continued financial support ensures a safe haven for a child in need. Please consider donating to HfC on a monthly basis. Any small amount assists!

May all our donors experience God’s richest blessings in 2019.

Latest addition to HfC

We are very excited about the addition of “Share Tears and Grow” to the homes that HfC are supporting. “Share Tears and Grow” is a place of safety situated in Nellmapius, Pretoria. The place of safety was established by Jochie, a wonderful woman with a heart for abandoned children. The history of the children placed in the care of Jochie, touches one’s heart. Most of the children have been placed at “Share Tears and Grow” since them being babies or toddlers. One of the children currently in Jochie’s care, was found under a bush when the child was only one day old. Another boy was brought to the house when he was a toddler, the mother indicated that she could not look after the child, whereafter she simply left. One little girl has special needs and goes to a special school. Apart from receiving social grants for some of the children and limited support from HCC, Jochie is supporting the children at her own expense. With the support of HfC, the house will be able to meet some of the financial expenditure for the children.

HfC will not be able to support places such as Share Tears and Grow without the support of donors. Your support is desperately needed.

We have reported previously that we are requesting donations for the procurement of washing machines and fridges for Rehoboth Children’s Home (RCH) near Port Shepstone, They take care of about 80 children of which 75% are HIV positive. These are usually the type of children that nobody really wants, not even for adoption….. RCH have reported that all their appliances are old and worn out. Thus far we have received donations and pledges of about R20 000. Although this will go along way, we need at least another R5 000. Your generous donations will assist greatly. We have planned a visit to RCH during the first week of September and would love to give them R25 000 for this purpose. If you donate, please indicate Rehoboth in the reference line as well as your name and surname. Our bank details are: Heart for Children, FNB Cheque acc. no 6221 5969 116 (code 250655).
