Dear Friend!

How time is flying! I cannot believe we are already past the halfway mark of 2025. First, on behalf of all the children, we want to thank you again for your regular support to Heart for Children!

We have just distributed all the 18a tax certificates, which may qualify you for a reduction on your income tax liability.  If you did not receive the certificate or if you think that not all your contributions from 1/3/2024 to 28/02/25 were reflected, please contact us via e-mail: henrypool7@gmail.com and we will rectify this.

We are so proud of the terrific result of our last campaign when we were able to provide the baby & small children’s shelter “Guardians of Hope” with a canvas enclosure to beat the East-London wind! The enclosed space serves as a play area for the children + meeting place for prospective foster parents. See picture above.

During this month, one of our board members, Johan Vos, head of ‘Victory for All’ in the Jeffreys Bay area, has requested financial support to provide new winter clothes for the children at the 8 foster homes in Humansdorp.  Due to your continued support, we are able to allocate R10000 for this purpose.

We would also like to inform you that we are considering a new project in line with our objective, namely the support of abused and abandoned children. In this regard, we received a request from Fani Manganye (pictured left) and his wife Sinah (pictured right). They established the Kingdom Fellowship church in Bethanie (near Brits) and have always shown a strong commitment to supporting homeless children within their community. They have started with the construction of two safe homes for children on the church premises. Annette and I visited Fani and Sinah on 25 May 2025 and we were touched by the fact that all the expenses for the finished church buildings and now also the safe homes mostly came from their own salaries as teachers.

The name that Sinah has suggested for the children’s shelter is ‘Kingdom Legae’. Annette and I propose that Heart for Children provides financial support to Fani and Sinah of Kingdom Fellowship in realizing their dream to provide this shelter for homeless children. The assistance from Heart for Children would be subject to certain conditions. We expect that this major project will require about a year of fundraising. Let us pray for a miracle again! Will you help us? Anything you can do to help us with this project will be much appreciated. Businesspeople or individuals interested in giving specific support or assistance are most welcome to visit. Please contact Fani on 0647242364 for an appointment.

Wishing you God’s richest blessings,

Henry and Annette Pool
