On Sunday 29/3/2026 we visited the orphanage/ children’s home that is being erected by Heart for Children in partnership with – and on the premises of – Kingdom Fellowship church in Bethanie, NW. The name of the shelter will be: Kingdom Legae (Kingdom Home for Children). NorthWest is a province where percentagewise there are more children that are homeless or being neglected than elsewhere. We felt blessed to be able to see this project for distressed children coming off the ground now from its very first beginnings. We recently also experienced answers to our prayers and the hand of God upon our work by receiving special support from FNB and from another unexpected corner of the world.
We were impressed by the progress that is being made with the shelter. All plastering inside should be finished by the end of next week. It is a duet house that is being built, mirrored to each other. Please take a quick look at the pictures below.

Ablution block: 3 toilets, 3 showers, 3 washbasins + 1 big bathroom with 2 baths, + a toilet and a washbasin.
2 bedrooms (up to 6 children each), 2 bedrooms (up to 4 children each) + 2 bedrooms (one for each of the appointed mothers)
There are also 2 dining- / TV rooms. We learned that, mostly to prevent unwanted incidents and accidents, the kitchen (possibly to be equipped with both a gas- end electric stove) will be situated in an existing building separate from the home, just a few meters away.
Fani and Sinah Manganye are hoping to be able to accommodate ca. 20 children in Kingdom Legae. Apparently, there is already a list of children that are currently homeless. We discussed the possibility of a school at the same premises. An extra room belonging to the church buildings could be made available for this.
