Dear Friend!
It is soon that time of the year again when we must prepare for our tax assessments by SARS. As you know, Heart for Children has a tax-exempt status, and your contributions may qualify for a reduction in your tax. We have just distributed the 18a tax certificates to all donors. If you did not receive the certificate or if you think that not all your contributions from 1/3/2025 to 28/02/26 were included, please contact us as soon as possible, via e-mail: henrypool7@gmail.com and we will rectify this. When you file your tax return, make sure that you filled in the correct PBO number, namely 930 030 392. If you fill in the wrong number, you will not receive that tax reduction.
STORM DAMAGE relief
After the storms in the Cape province this month (May), one of our board members, namely Johan Vos, head of ‘Victory for All’ in the Jeffreys Bay / Humansdorp area, requested financial help to provide emergency relief to help with repairs. To give some immediate assistance, Heart for Children decided to donate R5000 to Victory4All. For more about the activities of Victory4All, please see here:

KINGDOM LEGAE project
We are proud of our results so far with the project to build a shelter for homeless children in Bethanie Village, near Brits. The name of the home will be ‘Kingdom Legae’. RSG radio has also given some attention to this project, take a listen here:
RSG helps Heart for Children! | Heart for Children
As a result of this broadcast, we received some furniture and we have a promise of more furniture to come! We are happy to report that building operations are progressing very well. Kingdom Legae is intended to accommodate up to 20 vulnerable and destitute children, together with 2 caregivers who will provide daily care, supervision, emotional support, and stability within the home. The children who will be accommodated in the home will be placed and cared for in accordance with the proper legal processes, including the involvement of the Department of Social Development, designated social workers, and the relevant Children’s Court processes as prescribed by law.
Completing this home will have a life-changing impact on these children. Many of them come from extremely difficult circumstances, including neglect, abandonment, abuse, and unstable living conditions. The home will provide:
- Safe and secure accommodation
- A stable family-oriented environment with proper care and supervision
- Access to education, structure, and developmental support
- Emotional healing, dignity, and a sense of belonging
- Protection from harmful environments and social risks
Most importantly, the home will restore hope and provide these children with an opportunity to grow up in a caring and structured environment where they can thrive and build a better future.
Thanks to the superb assistance and financial support we received from FirstRand Bank, we were able to acquire a number of the required building materials, the baths, basins, showers and shower doors. A few pictures are attached.
When we started this project, we realized that this would not be a short-term commitment. May we count on your continued assistance? Thank you for your faithful contributions!
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Gal.6:9
